Oor Hom
TRAINING, RUNNING AND HOPEFULLY COMPLETING COMRADES ( with fellow Cape Multisport runners). I have a good sense of humor, am fun-loving and enjoy outdoor life which includes going up the mountain whether on foot or in a saddle (bicycle that is), started trail running and go to gym everyday. Have tried my hand at horse riding and loved it (unfortunately don't get to do much of it), done skydiving and river canoes - the next is scuba ......
My principles are based on my biblical / Christian beliefs which produce constant growth both emotionally and spiritually. We cannot be all things to all persons all the time but what we can be is our best in every situation that we find ourselves in - we cannot always control the events that surround us but we can control the manner in which we react - especially when it comes to women and children, they are blessings from God and need to be treated as such (equality, respect, love, kindness, understanding and integrity or trust are qualities I hold in high esteem). I am not perfect even though we (men) sometimes like to think we are and have a few faults that I am working on where the glass is viewed more full than empty. Think the main thing is having a teachable heart and desire to grow and improve oneself even when you get things wrong. Life is a journey, not a destination, look, learn and enjoy.
I get on well with all types of people and enjoy a good conversation or debate on a variety of topics. What you see is what you get. I am quite at home bundu bashing or enjoying the finer things of life (who doesn't) in the form of good food, glass of red wine, an entertaining movie or theater production and most of all, great company. I value family and friends and will always stand in the gap in times of genuine need.

I am looking for a funloving WHITE / CAUCASIAN woman with a sense of humour but also able to see the serious side of life as life is not always only about fun and games.
Enjoy the outdoors, hiking, walking on the beach and weekends away, some running or cycling but generally keeping fit. Nature is there to be enjoyed and it would be great if she did one 5day hike before saying it sucks. She should enjoy going to movies, plays or just staying at home with a good meal, glass of red wine (or champagne) and a movie - just doing what normal people do for enjoyment and just being yourself, having fun with friends or being alone with her partner and comfortable having one on one conversations.
She should be a principled person who "sticks" to decisions made - not airy-fairy about things and have goals in life. If she is a mom, she should handle her children with the same respect she expects from them and based on Christian values.
Must have integrity, be honest yet sensitive to other peoples feelings and God must be part of her life.
IQ, EQ and AQ are not just abreviations but contribute to the success of a relatioship because, no matter what the situation, no-one is perfect, least of all me but I try to learn as I go along. The book "Men are from Mars and Woman are from Venus" is a good read, guys and women, take a few tips, we are different so accept it and just love the person for who they are, not who you want them to be.
Oh, and if your cooking skills are not up to scratch (as long as you can make lemon merrigue) I can cook.
