About Her
Hello gentlemen. Thank you for popping past.
I live in the Karoo where I run self-publishing book company. I love my home and garden and cooking and wine. I make preserves and have my olives pressed and slip fruit trees and fuscias and pomegranates and kwepers. I always have a spade in the back of my bakkie so I can dig plants out and bring them home to my garden. This is generally illegal but I'm respectful and hey that's why I live in South Africa. Freedom has its costs!
I love beautiful natural fabrics and I'm a ceramicist. I go for long walks with my last remaining pet, a very spoiled dachshund. When he leaves home for university, I'm going to travel, then, later, I'll surround myself with furries again. I consider myself the patron saint of dachshunds but I'll also need a pair of sheep dogs and a basset hound to rule them all.
I used to work in the news media and was arrogant enough to think I was the only enlightened journalist in SA. Now, I've left the matrix altogether (laughs hysterically UPDATE: when I say I’ve left the matrix I mean it. NO VAXX only). I've grown up to accept that inner alchemy and the hard work required is all there is. At least I TRY to remember this. When I'm not throwing my toys around and howling at the moon. But mostly I'm happy, optimistic and VERY independent. They say women exchange power for love and I would have to agree. You would have to get very lucky indeed and so would I!
I love Bach and design and art and film/doccies for cuddly nights in. I don't have a TV but I'll watch the rugby at a pub (if it's an international or the Sharks). I like walking and hiking holidays. I love to swim in the sea and my dam and drink pink Champagne naked in icy berg streams on Christmas day. I'm a non-conformist, have been my whole life, and now I have it down to an art. I live by the golden rule. All things in moderation ... including moderation.
